Today we (they) did it

Sweden is warm. Summer warm. 27C. We love it. Today the boyz took their premier dip in the ocean. I just dipped my behind when squating for better pics. Welcome summer!

We all wish

Yes, we all want the best for our children (although I lately have brutally awakened to the fact that some parents that doesn’t give a rat’s ass about theirs, but I choose to believe that they a minority). Anyway, my hope is that my children are happy. That they dare to do the things that…

Crying just thinking about it

Today I got a tip about CISV, Children’s International Summer Villages. An global organization dedicated to educating and inspiring for peace through building inter-cultural friendship, cooperation and understanding. As an ex exchange student (twice acctually), I would love my children to do this kind of thing. Although Sam is already set to go to Australia…

Easter favourites

So, Easter is over (and I who still have a bag of candy left. That we have not even started with! Where is the world heading?!). Here are my favourite pics from the holiday. I have ordered a printout of the black and white version of the horse (one for me and one for a…

The beach

Is it something special with the beach? Or is it their genes? Their father brought up by it and my “new” love for it. But it doesn’t matter when we go there (biting winter or hot, well OK warmish then), the brothers become totally absorbed by it. They can play forever with what nature brings…

Stockholm

I am not going to lie to you. As Instagram entered my life, the majority of the pictures I take during vacations and of life in general are taken with my mobile and less with my Canon 5D Mark II. That one is more for professional usage. But I still bring it with me. As…

Back to the future

Soon 20 years ago I found this guy (with the little help from my friends) that later became the father of my children, and later became my husband. When we met he was already long down in the addicted claws of it. Soccer. He was pretty good. As a young adult he got to try…

We made it! Part I

We made it to Stockholm! Without any of us being ill! Here are some pics from our first great day together. Shopping, walking, a trip to the Royal stables, the tube and now cuddlei in the best hotel ever (and that with only one children’s channel).

Die just a little

The other day I commented on a blog on the kliché of how fast it goes. On how fast they grow up. This clip of Fabian reminds me, in a bitter sweet way, of the fact that I do not have any small ones anymore. And it hurts. To prove that they do grow, I…

You complete me

Jerry Maguire might have been first, but my gals say it better and foremost do it better. Their (and their families’ wedding gift) to me (sorry us) was a print of Manhattan. I mean, what could be better? Both taste and idea, that’s my girls.I get all warm inside, truly honored that they are my…

A tribute

When I was young(er) there was a common saying: “One can never be too careful in the choice of one’s parents”. As evident as it is, that you have no choice in this matter, it is still so obvious how big impact our parents have on our lives. Personally I feel so grateful over my…

Changing trains

What is it they say… “Change is the only thing in life that is constant”. So I’ve changed. Charlie Hunnam has been the flavor of the week since Christmas. But since all episodes of SOA (Son’s of Anarch you ignorant people) are watched and episode 6 will linger, one have to find another box of chocolates….

…and the good guys

I have the feeling that sometimes, maybe to a majority, I express somewhat negative opinions here. Strong minded opinions of when people are doing wrong (according Law of Louise). It might be natural that I have a bigger need to express myself when I things are tough. Therefore it is not more than right, that…

I can only blame myself

I sometimes wonder if I made such a wise choice back there in 1993. If I really thought it so very well through in March 2003 (I can guarentee that I was not thinking at all). And why I said yes at all the 27 of October 2012?! Because, who in their right mind wants…

My life is not Pommac

As mentioned in an earlier post, I am stuck in my development. But step by step, and with the never ending patience of (a) friend(s) I am making progress. Small progress. I want more. More of life. My life is not a bloody Pommac, it is freaking champagne!

Soccer dude

The one of the two brothers who got to go to his sports event this week-end was the little one. It was the late ending of last season and the kick-off of this year’s. Everyone got a trophy, thank the lord!!! The younger ones were pretty fast getting that statue from the coach, like there…

So where was I?!

Apparently it started on 2008, at least in the US. I can not believe that I have missed it, for 4 long years. I had to ask me where I was. And after not too long mind search I realized I was in the potty training period… and that was of course why. Why I…

Slowly

The days after Christmas (as well as Christmas) has been slow. Positively slow, wonderful days where not much is being done at all (except catching up 5 seasons of Sons of Anarchy). As I am pretty good at doing nothing normally, I am thinking that I should be stepping up and do something. And then,…

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

We (or I) did the choice to limit the no. of paper Christmas cards sent out by the swedish postal services. Therefore I send our Seasons greeting via this post instead (if you are a regular on FB, you got it there as well). Maybe not at personal… but it is the thought that counts……

Dame Maggie Smith

I can not believe that it took me a full season before I became a regular to the show. Downton Abbey, what a fantastic TV-series. And the part Dame Maggie Smith so fantastically portrays, is divine! I you have not started to watch it, you MUST do it now. NOW I say.

No place like home

Sitting in front the fire place (as we have it by our dining table I can’t sit in a comfy armchair), but I have two dogs to join. Nice.

Stockholm part III

We are waiting at the airport to board our plane. Full snow storm in southwest… Stockholm have been great showing herself from her best side. Christmas market at Skansen – spectacular the snow surley helped. Dirty Dancing the musical was good but not outstanding as I thought, but sure the music will always be the…

Stockholm part II

So, Sam and I (Fabian choice this week-end to become sick, so Sam was forced to accompany me) arrived safely in a snowy Stockholm. We (or I) had booked a ghost walk in Gamla stan. OK, but not especially scarry. But to do it in knee deep snow and with more coming was brilliant. What…

1st Advent

I have just returned home after a visit at the movies with my boys and a friend of Sam’s. The five legends, good. I love the sound of my boys laughing straight out. The kind of laughter which far from cultivate, but straight from the heart. Now I have pimped the house with the final…

Dolphins

As I mentioned before, we spent one day (or half of one) during our Key West stay, dolphin watching. Unfortunately (or not) our first arrangements with captain Sheri at Wild about dolphins got cancelled due to illness in the family. But she arranged for us to go with captain John at Dolphin watch instead. What…

We DO have the power

Your opinion IS important and you should share it, because you can make a difference. To cut to the chase and make a long story short. We have speed bumps in the street infront of our house. They have not really worked but during the summer the changed them (twice) and made the traffic situation…

OK USA

So we did my dream vacation. I always wanted to go to Disney World as a kid and never came (not until I was 16 and it wasn’t really the same). So I decided that I one day would take my kids there. And I (no, not he Mr), if I ever was to marry,…

Pontus Höök & formal wedding pics

We did not invite anyone to our wedding, but as we wanted you to be able to share it with us, in one way or another, we invited Pontus Höök. Pontus is a Swedish NYC based photographer. His editorial style, totally opposite my own romantic, is one of the reasons I love his pictures and…

Heading south

After some great days in Orlando we are about to head south to the Keys tomorrow. Life is grand.

20 yrs later

In June next year we have been together for 20 yrs. We celebrate it in advance wih a rooftop wedding in DA city. New York. To our help we had Pontus Höök, who took this picture and like a million more. So looking forward to see the resultat of his job. Read his blog here….

Yesterday

Yesterday, was mine and Sam’s date night. To tell the truth it was more me wanting it then he needing it. After dinner, somewhat stressed we went to Rock the ballet, a little less prestigious form of ballet with different rock classics. Sam liked it a lot. He got somewhat bored in end of the…

Tick tock

It is getting late and a new working week starts tomorrow. Was shooting some pics today, and I am soooooo pleased over the result. Not so pleasing was the total melt down our oldest, who I had a fantastic great date with the other night, had just before dinner. I guess that is life. Good…

Our soccerplayer

I had some old pics laying on the desktop, that I better share for the world. If you would like to see him in action I have this clip to show you on youtube.

The good parent and all that

Life, what an exhausting little journey. During my years as a mother, I have come to the conclusion that it is my role, as a parent, to coach my sons after their personal conditions and character. I have also decided that I shall do this in a way that strengthens them and not by, the…

Practice makes perfect

Words can probably not describe the Mr’s happiness that at least one of his offsprings have taken football to his heart (at least for now). Ever so often they go into the garden to practice. Fabians shots has become better, both stronger and more precision. I see the dream in the Mr’s eyes. One day…

Time to let go

I am sick of it. The cold, especially the cough that is irritating and comes at the worst times and NEVER stops. And then the headache that comes with the cough. Arrrhhhhhhh! But then we have the little baby that make you happy (even if he is not that happy anymore, but still cute).

I am on

Just so u know. I am at instagram. Follow me at @lopo2001.

What a day

It’s been awfully quite here the last week/weeks… I have started the new assignment to make the internal communication platform for the Outdoor launch (starting February) and apparently it is taking the better out of me :). I got a late (app. 1 year) sneak peek of the range the other day and I like…

Let’s try it again

My clip of our friend who managed get the full Parken arena (50.000) in Copenhagen do the wave just before Coldplay’s concert is far from ready… But http://www.Charlottebundgaard.dk has a clip from it. It didn’t work earlier today. We sit about 25 m to her left. I actually hear my self at one time (at…

Time in forrest

Today, a very tired Mr and one not so tired me, took the brothers and the dogs for a forrest walk. I never been the biggest advocate for the forrest, I am a more a beach and ocean person. But I have to say together with the Mr, the kids and the dogs, also the…

Time flies

Had a party booked and no babysitter… What to do, what to do. Why not leave the kiddos at home alone for a while… Said and done and went perfect! I am home now and shortly thereafter they fell asleep. My boys ate getting big! 💜

Fun!

I posted one picture on my business’ Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ogonblickavLouise ) and am just amazed of the effect and thankful for all nice comments. Add another one here.

School

Today school started. Fabian was all in as it was his first day at school. Sam was more reluctant if still positive. When the day ended it was quite alright anyway.

Why I am happy

There are many reasons to be happy. I have found mine. And here they are:

Some more pics…

… from our Nimis outing today. Great family time, I can really recommend it, if your company is not too young (or too old). Sam took the opportunity to praise the artist himself to the great artwork.

Today

A pic (or two) say more than a 1000 words.

Visiting family

Today’s outing was to Buddy’s breeder. There he got the chance to catch up with his sister, mum and grandmother. They clearly showed who decided. Lot’s of play was the result and left him quite tired. Fabian and Buddy’s grandma found a connection. Have some great pics, just need them to travel through space first.

Friendship

Tuesday, four friends came together from different parts of the country. One I have known for over 30 (! OMG) years, the others  from high school, which means a good 20… The social media thing makes its easier to stay in touch and be updated, but that isn’t what it is about. It is the…

Bros

As you know, life as a mother can have its up’s and down’s to say the least. I don’t try to paint the picture more beautiful than it is. But I appreciate it massively when it is good. Like times like this.
