As a communicator content has become the far most important thing since social media broke through. Personally, I often find the content I get in touch with to be so boring, irrelevant and has always just the one aim, to sell, sell sell. I know that the economical system is what it is and we…

A walk in a park
Friends Saturday I arranged for a catch-up with friends. Lovely spring weather, with icy winds, that magically disappeared as we sat our foot in the nature reserve, Jällabjär. 100-150 million years ago, in the era of dinosaurs this area was volcanic, today the only trace after the volcano is a 50 m tall hill which…
Death as a constant companion
During the last weeks we’ve been reminded that life is not forever. Buddy Boy is getting older and some days life seems to move faster towards its end. We’ve decided that we shouldn’t wait until he’s really bad, but still it’s so hard to understand when that is. Until then, we enjoy life.
Just a reminder
Now when people post their most sparkling family portraits on social media. Remember this. It could be a true reflection of a truly blissful life or it’s a more or less staged moment seconds from chaos.
From us all to you all
So it’s here, Christmas. Yesterday was spent with my parents just because we want to be home and safe on Christmas Eve and not stressing, something we deciderat long before we had children. I wish all a safe and good Christmas and for 2023 I hope for more common sense with everyone everywhere. We’re now…
So her best Ridgeback friend is down at her summer home and we were invited to come play. Great times!
Trying out the new camera
Bought myself a new mobile phone the other day. Haven’t done that in four years. The camera is really an upgrade and since the kids don’t want to model, I go for the little princess.
There’s no place like home
When away, the dogs are at a boarding home (for dogs), Svalbogård (they were founded pre social media and is still here so no website available). We had them there for Sam’s graduation as Tesla would have knocked both people and party tent over. Then a couple of days later we left them there again…
Too little attention
She thinks she’s gotten too little attention lately. The human children eating all the lime light. so, here she is – our little princess/diva. And our four legged prince.
She’s so precious our little princess. Love her to death we do.
Good Friday playdate
Once upon a time Good Fridays were just like like we call them in Sweden Long Fridays. Because you couldn’t do anything and TV and (more common at the time) radio was just depressing organ music. This is what I’ve been told by my parents, I wasn’t born in these bleak times or at least…
Our little runaway
She did it again. The second time she escapes. We are almost 100% sure that she doesn’t jump the fences, she crawls underneath (even-though we have put an extra fence to make it (almost) impossible). If she jumps we’re screwed. Well, now she’s grounded. Can’t leave the house.
The message to our little miss T seems to have worked. Last night she didn’t bother come into our bedroom. On the other hand her big brother did. So if anyone has a minute over, please inform him, that no dogs should be co-sleeping in our bed going forward. Thank you,
Malik hitting Båstad
During the night the storm Malik was passing Båstad and Sweden. It peaked during the night, but still roams around. This morning many curious people (including ourselves) went down to the ocean and the harbor to see what Malik had been up to.
Love them so much
I have had dogs now for 20 years. But I’m still fascinated by them and the fact how much I love them. They are amazing. Especially ours. ❤️
Our Tesla is growing. Getting to know a new character is exciting. So far we noticed that Tesla is bright (fast learner as some would say and that includes not so positive things), independent, lover of balls, extremely fond of all strangers as well as family members. When she sees someone, not only her tail…
Silent night or morning in my case. As you know my favourite. Also on Christmas morning. The Mr just came home from working the nightshift, sleeping some hours to later get on a new one. I’ll let the boys sleep a little longer to later force them have breakfast with their mother and joining me…
Isn’t she lovely
So the transition has started. We are progressing. Including Buddy.
Meaning that in 3.5 weeks she will be home and then crazy will live here for a while. We were asked to pick two, the breeder will then decide. Mine and Fabian’s favourite was light blue. While Sam’s was yellow. The Mr loved them all.
As the kids get older
As the kids grow older you can enjoy stuff with them. Sam and I watched this, we both laughed so hard we were crying.
Out and about
How I love nature. To be out walking and talking and, at times, taking pictures. We have been quite good at it over the years – thanks to being a dog owners.
Freckles and giggles
The spring sun has left traces on your nose and your voice, when asking if you can go with a friend home after school, is so full of giggles it all needs to come out. Thank you for being you. My love for you and your brother meets no end.
Half an hour
A walk for half an hour is what you need. I have no scientific proof behind this statement. But it felt good. A half an hour walk by the beach with a happy dog and you have the best possible base for a good day.
Grey, windy, rainy Sunday. What you need is a walk by the ocean with a dog and your family.
I mowed the lawn yesterday, the Mr. took care of someother garden chores. Buddy the liondog (ridgeback) sat on the elevated patio observing us and his lands. All of a sudden the Mr. whistled for my attention. I came over and saw the liondog with his nose in the dirt by the lilacs. A MOUSE!…
This video is a great example of friendship (topic in my last post).
And one of the dog
Not the nicest background but good enough I’d say.
Just some pics
Took the dog to the beach for a walk the other day. It was a great spring day.
Food for the soul
This morning I did something that is the essence for me having my own business. I played hooky. The best thing to have your own business is not the millions you make (yeah right). It is the possibility to decide for your self. Sure, many of us have (had) quite flexible jobs that allows us…
Away on Sam’s grading (? or whatever it is called) for yellow belt in taekwondo, terrible things happened to a dear friend. When we arrived home we met him and a lady friend of his brutally battered and bruised. I could never imagine that this would happen, not in our home. I will never feel…
For some reason it felt like the last day of summer today. The weekend has been really hot, really, really hot. And we have enjoyed it. Today we went to Kattvik and further to the nature reserve Hovs Hallar. And if it was, it was a good one. With only one dog it is easier…
Went upstairs to tuck in the kids. Came down and found this. We have 100% animal free sofa… . We later felt sorry for him and invited him here instead.
Just had to double check if I’d let one of the dogs out and never let him back in…
Snakes, other reptiles and animals as such
After a slow and late breakfast (or actually two) with the dearest of friends. We ignored the fact that the sun was here (it is still too bl**dy cold anyway) and they boys and I went to Tropikariet in Helsingborg. Sam loves his (and all other) animals and little bro got really excited as well….
Buddy boy and the barrel Kinchie
The dogs love to play. Rough at times. The are like there human counterpart…
When will it end?
I don’t know where I have been. Probably yelling my lungs off. From this day, I will really think twice, three or 100.074.663 times before I even consider to ask them to stop. And I will be sure to NEVER, EVER blame the older again, even if there are tangible marks of blood on little…
I have learnt, the long oldfashion way, to not become 5 and meet my children in the same mannor as they sometimes choose to meet me. Instead I leave, for 5-10 minutes and then return. First with a hug and then a talk what went wrong before. But sometimes, life would be just so much…
No place like home
Sitting in front the fire place (as we have it by our dining table I can’t sit in a comfy armchair), but I have two dogs to join. Nice.
As I mentioned before, we spent one day (or half of one) during our Key West stay, dolphin watching. Unfortunately (or not) our first arrangements with captain Sheri at Wild about dolphins got cancelled due to illness in the family. But she arranged for us to go with captain John at Dolphin watch instead. What…
After some great days in Orlando we are about to head south to the Keys tomorrow. Life is grand.
Time to let go
I am sick of it. The cold, especially the cough that is irritating and comes at the worst times and NEVER stops. And then the headache that comes with the cough. Arrrhhhhhhh! But then we have the little baby that make you happy (even if he is not that happy anymore, but still cute).
I am on
Just so u know. I am at instagram. Follow me at @lopo2001.
Time in forrest
Today, a very tired Mr and one not so tired me, took the brothers and the dogs for a forrest walk. I never been the biggest advocate for the forrest, I am a more a beach and ocean person. But I have to say together with the Mr, the kids and the dogs, also the…
Why I am happy
There are many reasons to be happy. I have found mine. And here they are:
Today’s outing was to Buddy’s breeder. There he got the chance to catch up with his sister, mum and grandmother. They clearly showed who decided. Lot’s of play was the result and left him quite tired. Fabian and Buddy’s grandma found a connection. Have some great pics, just need them to travel through space first.
