Fame & freedom

Today, or maybe it was yesterday, I decided that today I will only do things I want to do. I truly understand that this is a luxury and a privilege out of the ordinary. So, now you know that I know.

Therefore, I started the morning by taking the dogs for a slow walk. You know the kind of walk we always should take our dogs on, where we stop everywhere and allow them (and ourselves) to take up all the scents that need to be indulged. Naturally, it helped that the sun was shining and the wind wasn’t blowing, but this was something I really needed. To allow myself and the dogs to be in the here and now. parts of the walk I did with one of my new favourites. Giuseppe Roccasalvo – Italian DJ, making new version of golden oldies. I ran into his version of Eros Ramazzotti’s Piu’ Bella Cosa the other day – love it. I have had a long and strong relationship Eros, and one of his songs (I can’t remember which) was the first the Mr and I danced to, back in 1993 ❤️.

Then I have to tell you about my first encounter with “fame.” It might be my only one, and that is fine. Walking the dogs the other day (on one of the faster walks), I had a typical Swedish conversation with a neighbour. We don’t really know each other, but since we are social creatures, we had a chat (and Swedes are so hard to talk to…. yeah right).

He then said, “Are you the artist (maybe he used the word photographer) who has the exhibition at Norrvikens trädgårdar?”

Naturally I had to validate because it would be strange to lie. He then gave me so many superlatives of how great the images were that my head nearly exploded. I can live with this.
