The magic of waiting

I read in a financial magazine once (yes, I do browse those from time to time!) that saving up for something you really want makes you appreciate and enjoy that “thing” so much more when you finally get it.

Today, I decided to test that hypothesis (or perhaps it’s already a proven fact) over breakfast.

I drove to the bakery to pick up some fresh rolls. Once home, I started the coffee and put an egg on to boil. But instead of immediately indulging in those weekend carbs, I waited. I waited for the egg to be perfectly done. What a treat! I honestly think I enjoyed it more just because of that small delay. And the fact that I had the house all to myself… pure bliss.

On a different note—if you find yourself in the very south of Sweden (I mean really south) during Easter, please take the opportunity to visit my exhibition Seasons at Norrviken gardens.. I’d love for you to experience it.
