This “influencer” thing

Lately I’ve been thinking of this “influencer” thing. Previously, when you looked at people’s social media profile many used to say “influencer”. As it’s not a protected title many could/can do so. But today I see less of these titles and thank God for that. Let’s face it, their reputation is really tarnished and rightfully so. I would say (opinion) that today very few people want to be influencers by name (even if many still are ) as, if we are honest , you are “just” a living billboard for companies’ stuff.

What I do see is that many now calls themselves Digital Creators. Now, I think that is really cool. Because than you make something. Many of the ones I follow are, in my eyes, entertainers. They do great stuff. But then I’ve also noticed the ones who used to be influencers (as proudly so) calling themselves Digital Creators… No, you are not a Digital Creator by taking pictures of your lunch, children and wardrobe (or yourself in an outfit). I’m not even sure you should allow yo call your self an influencer, but for sure you are not a creator of anything.

Now, I got this out of my system and I return to watch some of my current favorites, @Jordanprince.
