People who doesn’t know me, that maybe only “knows” me by reading this blog, might say, after reading this post:
“But shut up already!”
Maybe some that really knows me, will say that to… no, they won’t.
I just looked at the talk show “Skavlan” which is Scandinavia’s (no we are not one country, but we do TV-productions together) answer to Parkinson (the Michael-person not the disease). Nando Parrado, one of the survivors from the Uruguayan rugby team crashing in the Andes in the 70’s, was there.
Anyway, summarized I, at 9.30 pm a Friday night, got confirmed that I am on the right track. Or maybe I am already there, of being totally happy. Well enough aware that it might be gone tomorrow, but then at least I was happy yesterday.
Nando Parrado said: “When you die life goes on”. So if you happen to be one gigantic egocentric (and most probably) bastard who dies. It will not mean anything to anyone else that you are dead. And not to yourself. (Sure sure some might shed a tear or two for a while, but the lawns need mowing and milk needs to be bought.)
Don’t take yourself too serious. In a context I mean. Of course you are very important, and should be. Important for doing stuff that you want to do. Make sure that you spend the days doing stuff that mean something for you. And remember, the things you do only mean something when you are alive. When your dead it will not mean anything.
What a waste if you spend your life doing things that not even you liked or cared about doing.

Hello friend!
I also saw Skavlan yesterday and thought the same thing as you wrote.
Focus on the things that mean something to you. It was almost a WOW moment.
Hugs Marianne
Yes and that is what we are doing 🙂
