Down under

As a kid, Sam loved Steve Irwin and Australia Zoo (he loved/s animals all together to be honest). So for a long, long time there has been this dream of going there. To Australia.

For his graduation two years back he asked his celebrators for travel checks and now in April they were used. And that’s our Sam. Never travelled alone before, so why don’t I go as far aways as possible on this earth.

Naturally, I know what he’s been up to to some extent like visiting Australia Zoo, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef and going Bungee jumping, but I’ve promised myself to not put him under investigation. But he made it, there and back and everything in between. Learning that if you procrastinate too much you will get a shitty seat on a 24 hour train ride, and he is more than capable to solved issues that arise and socializing with strangers. Maybe my biggest and most happy surprise was that he would go there again.

He was ok with me sharing the Bungee jump – he was terrified, but he did it (just like his mom 30 years ago, but boy did that recording improve).
