Heavenly silence

Silence is a rare commodity in our world today. As a mother I have learnt to appreciate it. As a puppy owner I have just learnt to love it. And I will never take it for granted again. The little one has just passed out and the house is filled with silence – sigh.

Today’s beautiful weather led to longer soccer kicking in the garden this evening, neither me or the Mr wanted to break up the siblings (rare?) fun time together. It was one of the core family moments to be used in any commercial. Brothers being friends, parents being friends, and two dogs being friends (or something) enjoying eachothers company by biting each other’s throats off ( I am talking about the dogs here).

The weekend have been intense. Single mother week-end. Mr has been working the entire weekend. This was combined with house arrest (which is the only thing I can compare the fact of having a puppy), which was gladly interrupted by family and friends coming for a spontaneous fikas.

Another friend had mercy of one of my offsprings, allowing him to do something else than fighting with his brother.

But house arrests are good for some things. The pantry got cleaned out of the 150.000 + or so empty plastic packages that the Mr so sustainable have saved. I also managed to squeeze in some hours of work. Lovely!

Saturday night I went to a students fashion show. One of Mr’s blood relatives will graduate from her design class later this spring. It got very emotional. I baby sat this girl so many times 15 years ago, and now she is a super talented, ambitious young woman, ready to go get her dream. Rejoice! I wonder what life has in store for the blokes below? I guess that only time will tell.
