Two seconds ago I took my responsibility as a citizen of a democratic society and mother, even if more reactive than proactive, to demand answers from the local authorities.
Our school district will be reorganized and the responsibility of “our” school and kindergarten/pre-school will divided between two persons instead of one.
Today, we have a very well-functioning cooperation between kindergarten/pre-school and school. This cooperation leads to (among many things) that the quite big change from being kindergarten toddler to pupil becomes less dramatic. An area which I now see being in the risk zone. This I base on the fact that the teachers at the school needs to listen to their manager and the teachers at kindergarten needs to listen to their. Both with very individual agendas and as many other managers a quite poor holistic view on things.
Naturally, things can become better to. But I doubt that these improvements will come the first years. Leading to my son (and his friends) will pay the price.
Do I need to say, that I am eagerly awaiting the authorities standardized answer.

From my experience, more managers is never a good thing. Even if it gets sorted out in the end (like you said), you don’t want your kid to be there in the guinea pig year, so to speak. Maybe they really have a plan, maybe it’s for the best?
Agree! Even if it is not really dived responsibility in this case. Still there are more people who needs to agree (in Sweden we have to have consensus… to everything).
I know, they might have a fantastic plan. But that is where the professional inside of me comes in – tell me about it!
