Weekend almost over

Weekends usually goes really fast, this one was no exception. Friday was a great day to remember. Fabian and I were spending the morning and bits of the afternoon together, just him and me. We went to the bank, bought a birthday present, had a fika, bought new sneakers and went grocery shopping. We did not rush since we had nothing more to do that day really.

Bless the times when we grown-ups remember to take it cool. To chill and relax with our children. When we really take the time to be with them on their conditions. Those days you really understand why you had children and how enormously much fun it is. I realized that Fabian had grown just a little bit mentally and had reflections on abstract things. It is cool that he actually communicates the way he feels etc.

That's nice Louise. My son was like that. He and I could actually hang out and he would talk about things to me. You are right, it is nice to watch them grow up.

Nothing you really think about when you planning to get them. But it is in these moments that I really understand the meaning of being a parent. And one of these moments outscores the hundreds of wake nights through breast feeding and sicknesses or lost late mornings.
