Last week I got my eyes checked. Almost two years ago I faced the destiny of getting glasses. The chock back then was tremendous. I saw glasses as a sign of weakness (I am not saying that I ever been especially smart).
But that chock could not measure the one to last week's verdict. Not only did I need sharper glasses for everything I do, but also special glasses for working at the computer! I need double set of glasses! This means that I need to remember to change glasses from when I sit by my computer to when I need to go to a meeting (I can't see anything presented with a beamer with a font size less then 150). But I also need to keep track of two pairs (and I will not get these senile strings to hang around my neck, I just wont). I can already now, hear myself raving over the fact that I can't find them.
Anyhow, before my verdict had checked if it was possible for me to get contact lenses. Just for the few times a year when I go out and do not wish to look like a school teacher (not that is ANYTHING wrong with the looks of school teachers).
Today I went to lens school to learn how to get them in and out…. I hardly got them out. The first one went really good but the second one…. took me about 30 minutes. To be fair, I spent 10 minutes of these 30 to get the first one back in… I never made it. I have a new appointment next week, let us pray that I have the guts to touch my eyes a little better then.
