I don’t think there is one single personal development session that doesn’t bring up quote from Alice in Wonderland. It is often incorrectly quoted, but the correct quote has a lot of truth to it.
I am currently realizing that I probably DO know where I want to go, but I hesitate to clarify it to myself. To procrastinate is a way to protect myself in case I won’t make it. Or more truthfully, I procrastinate in order to stop myself from starting as I know it will require a lot of me to get there and I am not totally sure where to start.
“Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?”
“That depends a good deal on where you want to get to,” said the Cat.
“I don’t much care where–” said Alice.
“Then it doesn’t matter which way you go,” said the Cat.
“–so long as I get SOMEWHERE,” Alice added as an explanation.
“Oh, you’re sure to do that,” said the Cat, “if you only walk long enough.”
