Friends of the past

The weekend was spent on the Swedish west coast, yes, where I live but about 3 hrs north. Old elementary and high school friends came from all across the country for a “hen party”.

If my (OK our) computer wasn’t broken I would have been able to show you some pictures of the great place we were. So beautiful. Since I do live close to the ocean (and not close to an inland “muddy puddle”) I was probably the one who appriciated the scenery the least. But still not little.

We have a tradition of calm hen parties with no/very little embarrassment for the bride to be. And since we only meet 1-2 times a year, we chose to spend also this encounter very wisely. Talking about memories (yes, boys, some forgotten others not ;), husbands, children career and future.

Today we spent 2,5 hrs on the back of Icelandic horses. Allowing us experienced riders
(me and the bride)  have a good gallop on the meadows close to the ocean – OMG what life can be good. It is in these moments I realize that I do miss riding very much and it becomes very clear that I have to do something about it – soon.

I’ll be sure to show you some picture soon. Thanks to all of you gals who made me very happy to be me.
