As said, the boys have been at their grandma's and grandpa's over the weekend. Gave me and Tobias some time off. On Friday we had some friends over for dinner and we didn't get to bed until 03.00 am. That is a very good achievement from two parents of two.
The Saturday was spent in the garden (as I mentioned in my previous post), turning dirt and oiling the patio. The owners of Kinchie came over for a fika and to see how we were doing. After that we (or Tobias) went on a shopping spree. And we ended the day with dinner and a quick visit to a colleague of mine. The evening ended somewhere between 9.00-9.30 pm, when Tobias fell asleep on the couch. Right in front of El Classico – miracles do happen.
Today we picked up the boys. Fab went to a birthday party for princesses and kings (only one king was allowed to attend and that was Fabian). After that it was time for 1,5 hrs at the very poorly ventilated public indoor pool.

Quite a wonderful treat to be childless for a few days, isn't it? I cannot remember the last time it happened but it sure recharges the batteries. You stayed up until 3? That is impressive 🙂
I love my children out of this world, but once in a while at least for a night (with dinner and a movie) we try to get for our self. The late night was paid for the night after, but that is OK.
what is a fika?
You are so right. Night's or evenings out alone are priceless!
Fika is a coffee break with a sandwich or pastry to it. Could sometimes go on for hours between friends, either at home or out at a café. But in Sweden you also have a fika at work, then it is usually only a coffee break. You can read about fika here.
