    Emerson actually said, "Watch your thoughts. They become words. Watch your words, they become deeds. Watch your deeds. They become habits. Watch your habits. They become character. Character is everything."I think. Which he might have kinda sorta copied from something Buddha said. I also remember one version that ended with "watch your character; it becomes your destiny." Something like that. Who knows–wise sayings have a way of taking on life of their own!
