Is it so?

It feels like I hear about it all the time. Maybe it is because of my age (or the age all others are in… which is close to mine) or is it so that we, in the western world, are starting to change how we live and see our lives.

It feels like more of us (I argue that I have done it for some time now) take the time (and the courage) to reflect what is important to ourselves. What makes us happy. This leaves us temporarily in a stage of confusion, which usually is sorted out within a small period of time.

But I still notice many people’s conflict of actually doing what they want and what others want them to do. Why is it so hard to tell someone: “Yes, I can see how that could make me happy, if I were you… which I am not…”

Or is it so, that an ever bigger challenge, is to realize and admit to OURSELVES, the we have changed. Things we personally once wanted, strived for or argued, are no longer important.
