Longing for understanding

Somedays, like today, I would like:

1) to have a daughter

2) be a man

3) have a better possibility to understand what things really get boys spinning

Today we re-assembled the race track that Sam got for Christmas two years back. They boys KNEW that it was in the wardrobe but both I and the husband have successfully talked it out of their minds. Yesterday we ran out of arguments and brought it out of its safe hiding. Today we found the battery so it actually worked.

It is in these moments, when I see and hear the excitement in the guys, I truly would like to have a daughter. Where I can really share the joy in a new pair of shoes, a spa treatment. I can’t however I try to understand the excitement of a race track.

Today spring was in the air in Skottorp and we celebrated with the spring overalls and barbecue – ahh, wonderful

    Vad modig du är som erkänner! Själv försöker jag låtsas att det inte är nån skillnad (pojke-flicka), funkar sådär när allt Dylan vill göra är att hänga i korsningen och titta på bilar och bussar.
    – Stooooor buss! Brrrmmm!
    – Eehh… ok?

    ja, det är ju inte det att man inte älskar dem och allt de gör. men ibland undrar jag verkligen hur det hade varit att ha en tjej. om inte förr så när de blir äldre. det känns att även om jag kommer att vara en närvarande mamma och "tvinga" mig in i deras liv. så kanske finns risken att de med sina intressen kommer att "fasa ut" mig. typ, de sticker på fotboll alla tre och där sitter jag med en katt eller nåt.

    Why to not try to have a daughter? It’s my dream actually to have one…I’ve heard a lot of men confessing that the girls are much better than boys: they are tenderer, warmer, more loving. I wish you to have a nice daughter!;)

    well, time will tell… two boys take a lot of time and energy. but we'll see we might give it a try in some years.
