I honestly don’t know how to say it in a better or more honest way. Because sometimes life just surprises you in ways you never saw coming (not really true, I worked for this since 2023, probably way before from an idea point of view). And the only reaction that feels appropriate is simply: Well… I’ll be damned.

I started my career as a self-employed as photographer. To be honest, despite my marketing degree, I had really now plan on how to make a living from it. But one thing was sure. I wouldn’t do weddings.

Of course I did. Reluctantly, but yet honored. But over time anxiety stared to creep closer. What if the camera broke? What if the memory card crashed? What if? It was more scary than fun, so I stepped away. Not from photography completely, because that would be like stepping away from breathing. The camera stayed. The pace changed. and I found other ways to make money as self-employed.

And now I will have my first, and maybe only, exhibition. But I will have one. At the prettiest venue imaginable – Norrvikens trädgårdar.

From 20 of March to 30 of May, you will be able to view Årstider / Seasons, at one of Bjäre’s most beautiful spaces and somehow my photographs will now be part of that space. I’m stunned by myself.

I’m proud and at the same time feeling that I’m not worthy. It’s only me.
