Today it’s been mother’s day in Sweden. I’ m not for making things commercial, but w’m all for celebrations, especially when it’s me being celebrated.
The day started with a text from my youngest. Telling me that words couldn’t explain how much he loves me and appreciates me.
After thanking him, I continued to say that I was looking forward to see how he would show that as words was’t enough. I added a GIPHY to triumph my wittiness.

When I saw the meme coming before my message I removed the meme to not create confusion about me laughing at his sweet message. and replaced it after my message. When the Mr arrived to the kitchen I read my reply and he, of course, thought I was the funniest person he met that day.
After a while a new text arrived from the son, saying “was that supposed to be fun”? Devastated the my joke didn’t hit its mark, I apologized and told him how much I loved him.
Then I noticed – my message were nowhere to be found in our conversation. Only the gif… quickly I explained and he could see the fun.
From my oldest I got a super expensive (in my eyes) knitted blanket. And to sum the day up we had a great dinner at our local spa resort in the village.
As I congratulated my own mother I realized that it’s impossible to explain how much a mother means. But to stay an active part in her life is probably the only way it can be shown.
