Stop it, just stop it now

No I’m not talking about the scolding happening at the other side of the pond. I’m talking about life.

Tuesday our little one (who turned 18 little over a month ago and thereby is an adult in the eyes of society) got his driver’s license. In Sweden you don’t get to have a driver’s license until you’re 18. You can start practice with an adult approved supervisor from the age of 16. And let’s face it. you might start up all energied for a couple of months (max) when receiving your certificate that you are allowed to practise your driving, but then it stops till about 6 months before your 18:th birthday when it all of a sudden becomes very important.

Anyhow after one failed written test, a trip to Malmö to take one more before the practical test (which almost was missed due to signing in too late….) Fabbe received his driver’s licence Tuesday.

I was very nervous for the written one, especially as it was necessary for him to make it otherwise he would need to postpone his practical one. But for the practical one I had too much to do so I didn’t have time to get nervous. His father did on the other hand, which he reminded me of ever fith minute by text.

I ran a little late for his pick-up after the test so he needed to call me and ask were I was. His voice revealed the outcome! I picked-up a very happy, relieved and sweaty young man. And now I don’t have a car. This gotta stop!
