Oh, what a day

Yesterday night ended with the awesome win for Loreen and Sweden in ESC. The whole family watched the voting, which usually is sooooo boring, and we screamed after each full point she got! Congrats to Loreen, people like you make me so proud to be Swedish.

Today was Mother’s day but for most it was Sam’s so belated birthday party. As he is set to move to Australia and start working at Australia zoo when he turns 16, we chose to have his party at Tropikariet. One of the animal keepers guided them through the different continents, and the children learned more about the animals. They also got to pet some of the animals (snake, alligator, lemur) and feed monkies. Sam as the birthday boy got some special treatment like hold the alligator, the python, a tortoise (special deal from his sales talented father) and feed the suricates, fish and sharks.

I think he was pretty pleased. At least he said earlier this week that it was a dream come through.

In afternoon, as the father of the family was working, I took my boys for some ice-cream. Mom had to be celebrated in one way… We ended up at the beach and the boys couldn’t resist to take a dip (pretty warm actually, at least for my feet). Oh, what a joy it is to see your sons enjoying life – I am grateful for every day. And once again I get reminded of that I have nothing absolutely nothing to complain about.
