I am convinced that it is not possible to do everything. At least not at the same time.
Today it was mummy day. The Mr had been working the night shift and then he went on to the evening one right after sleeping. So I took the kids to the pool, to a bigger one (than the local one) with a little more to do. We had a good time. Sam jumping the three meter trampoline and Fabian came over his fear (after turning around twice) to jump the one meter.
Coming home we watched a movie (I napped for a while), painted eggs (it is Easter after all) and had homemade meatballs. We had our arguments along the day, like telling mum if one goes away to another part of the pool… But a very good and needed (at least for mum) day to BE together.
And after yesterday’s talk with a friend I (once again) realized that we all have them. The arguments and discussions. They are part of parenting and as adults we do control the start, the development and outcome of them.
But today I was HERE and mum only. With no, “In a second sweety, I must only…”. So today I give myself 4 out of 5 mummy stars.
