I’d prepared a presentation the other day. A presentation of myself.  Things changed and I didn’t need to go in to depth. But I think my presentation of myself (which I practiced while jogging) was quite good. So I’ll share it and at the same time challenge you. Next time you’re being ask to present yourself, do it without the commonly used facts i.e.  what you are woking with, what you have done and what your living situation looks like.

Instead use the characteristics that describes you (naturally you get them from friends, good freinds).

“Louise is, a woman (no doubt) with one clear aim in life. To be happy. In all I do. In order to be happy I have gotten to know oneself very well. Thereto I have realized that comparison is the tool of the devil and I have thrown expectations from my friends, neighbours, collegues and formost family (read parents) over board.

I was more surprised than disappointed to see that one third of the chareteistics comig back from my friends where not “postive, happy and a good laugh”. Those were there as well, but apparently I have more dimesions than that.

My fiends see me as goal-oriented, ambitious (!), honest (sometimes more than what is good for me), genuine, reliable, spontaneous (sometimes more then what is good for me), emotional, pragmatic, humble etc. Words I take pride in being known for.

There are two principles that I use more than others, reaching happiness and guiding me in all I do. The two principles more important to me than others are: justice and honesty. That is what I always will be and what I always will judge others by.”
