For people without kids it can sometimes, if not often, seem strange that people continue to get them. However, when a child comes home with his/her first self-made card where it expresses his/hers unfathomable love for you, there are no boundaries for your love.
The fantastic thing is that even if that card was not intended for you, you still feel that overwhelming love (accompanied with tears if you happen to be an emotional mother), which only children can bring.
In our family we try to love each other and show it everyday (we do not always make it) so Valentine's day is not a big thing here. But I bought myself some tulips to cheer me up since the entire family (Fabian excluded) is down with some kind of cold, acing body and/or fever.
